Mi historia Parte 1

This is my first article, although I have had this domain since 2013, it is not until today, June 27, 2021, that I decided to use it by creating this website. However, I tried something using this domain before, but I did not feel that I could really contribute anything useful, so after 1 month I removed the site I had.

I didn't know what to start writing, there are so many things on my mind that it was hard for me to decide, finally I decided that it was better to tell a little about my story, I know that this article may be very long or perhaps no one else will read it, but I feel that it is necessary, and I also want to use this website as my own entrepreneurial log, so here we start.

Since I was little I always liked computers, even though I didn't have one. I remember going to the third floor of my house when I was about 6 years old. I built a computer with cardboard boxes that were lying around. I drew some keys on it and imagined that I was writing an Excel spreadsheet. I had an inventory of things that I sold. They were all invisible, but I put a piece of paper on them with the price, and the strangest thing is that everything was worth $1,500. I still don't know why that number.

About 2 years later I got my first computer, I still have it today, it's my relic, a 500 mhZ Celeron, after 3 days I couldn't take it anymore and I opened the PC, I wanted to know what was inside, I took it apart a bit and at night when my dad arrived, he almost had a heart attack, the new PC had been taken apart by a 9 year old kid hahaha, over time I learned that for sure :)

When I was 17, I went to study a career and it didn't go well, I lost it, being left without studies at 18, they challenged me again, of course I had gotten into debt and I lost the career, among other personal things that we had to go through as a family. With what happened, I was already learning to program and make websites since school, this motivated me to learn more on my own with all the free time I had, I went into forums and constantly asked about PHP, once I learned more or less, I bought a domain and made a website offering web pages, of course, it didn't go very well hahaha.

One day my mom got a little bored of me being at home all day in front of the computer, so she told me I was going to work at the supermarket, they are looking for people to wash cars and I got a little upset, I must admit, not because I was going to work, but because I was learning so much that I felt it wasn't the time, even so I went to work.

The job didn't consist of washing cars yet, but rather I had to etch the license plates of cars on the windows with acid, it was fashionable so they needed it urgently. The first few days were great, but after a week there weren't many cars, everyone had done it and only the most reluctant people remained. I spent every day from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm walking through the supermarket parking lot offering the service, and I only earned money for work done, so there were many days when I earned $0, and I walked around all day long, asking car after car if they wanted to engrave the license plate on the windows.

As time went by I felt like I was wasting my time, of course I spent hours doing nothing and I earned $0, I would get home and start searching on the internet for some way to learn how to sell, I felt like I didn't know how to sell, I thought that maybe there was a technique, a way to make people take the service into account, this way I found some audiobooks on the internet, I didn't buy them of course, it's not ideal, but I didn't have money to buy them, what I downloaded was Believe It If You Can by Alex Dey, while I was working all day walking, I listened to the audiobook, and I felt like someone was supporting me all day, and that's how I later got motivated and downloaded other books by Alex Dey himself and believe me, it's not that I want to sell you a book of his, in fact it's the truth it was thanks to his audiobooks that I can improve a little and improve my sales as the weeks went by that's how I started to dream of getting ahead and achieving my dreams.

After about 3 months, I was moved to washing cars, which allowed me to earn a little more, much less than the minimum wage, of course. In fact, there were days when no car arrived and I earned $0. I still continued listening to audiobooks. I don't know if you've seen the Mr. Robot series, where the character Angela Moss starts listening to motivational phrases and things like that. Well, it was very similar. That's why when I saw those scenes, it made me laugh and feel nostalgic at the same time.

One day, walking through Valparaíso, I saw a store that said Café de los emprendedores (Entrepreneurs' Café) and it made me curious (they don't exist anymore, it was a franchise), so I went in and there was a calendar of free talks that they were giving. I was immediately interested, so I didn't hesitate to wait until 7:00 p.m. when one of the talks of the day started.

I went for a walk to kill time and when I came back there were already quite a few people, about 25 to 30 approximately, for me it was the best at that time, everyone was talking to each other about business and what each one did, yes, when I arrived they looked at me a bit strange, everyone was semi-formal or well dressed for the occasion, I for my part was wearing a normal sweatshirt hahaha, another thing that caught my attention is that I was the youngest there, I was 19 years old, at that time I already had a Google Adsense account, I didn't have big sites just 2 blogs with ads, which gave me something, it was almost nothing, but I already had that mentality of generating income in some way. Going back to the talk, I really liked it and I got to know Cash Flow a game by Robert Kiyosaki, that was when I heard about it for the first time, and I was even more motivated to continue with my dreams, I began to discover a world that I didn't know and that I liked to know.

I doubt anyone has read the whole article, if so I hope you enjoyed learning a little about my life, my beginnings, and I hope it wasn't too long or difficult to read, I appreciate the reading :), I think that's enough for now, the article is too long so I will continue it another day in part 2 of this journey.
